Grandma’s Spinach Dip

GRANDMA'S SPINACH DIP  #SPINACH #DIP INGREDIENTS:  •2 packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed and water squeezed out  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion  •1 cup chopped parsley •1 cup sour cream •1/2 cup mayonnaise  •1/2 tsp. Celery salt (or 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. celery seed)  DIRECTIONS: Combine all ingredients together and refrigerate overnight. Serve with pumpernickel bread and/or favorite crackers.

 Pannu Kakku (Finnish Oven Pancake) #PannuKakku #Finnish #Oven #Pankcakes INGREDIENTS 6  tablespoons butter 1  cup flour 1  cup sugar 4  eggs 2  cups milk 1  tablespoon vanilla extract DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in oven in a 9x13 pan (cast iron skillet); should be sizzling when you take it out.   Meanwhile, mix other ingredients until very frothy. Pour batter into pan/skillet with melted butter. Bake 40 minutes. Eat immediately.

HILLBILLY CASSEROLE

 HILLBILLY CASSEROLE #Hillbilly #Casserole Ingredients: 1 lb hamburger 1 16oz bag extra wide egg noodles 2 10.5oz condensed cream of mushroom soup (can substitute cream of chicken or cream of onion) 2 10.75oz cans condensed tomato soup 1 15.25oz can whole kernel corn (can substitute with 14.75oz can creamed corn) 16oz shredded mild cheddar cheese (can substitute with different cheddar, slices, or American cheese slices) Directions: 1.  Break up & brown hamburger. 2.  Boil noodles until done, but firm and drain. 3.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 4.  In roasting pan or 9x13 glass dish, mix noodles, hamburger, soups, and corn until evenly distributed. 5.  Completely cover mixture with cheese. 6.  Put in oven and bake until cheese is melted and bubbly.  (About 20 mins., doesn't have to brown) 7.  Remove casserole from oven, stir in melted cheese, and serve.

 SPIRAL NOODLE SALAD #Salad #SpiralNoodles  Ingredients: 2 cups sugar 2 cups vinegar 2 Tbs vegetable oil (or any oil of your choosing) 1 Tbs garlic powder 2 Tbs Lawry's seasoning salt 2 Tbs yellow mustard 1 Tbs parsley  1 large onion (yellow or sweet) 2 cucumbers 24oz spiral pasta Instructions: 1.  Boil noodles to done, but still firm.  Drain and set aside. 2.  Dice onion. 3.  Thinly slice cucumbers. 4.  In large bowl, stir sugar into vinegar until dissolved. 5.  Add oil, garlic powder, Lawry's, mustard, and parsley.  Stir until well mixed. 6.  Add onions, cucumbers, and noodles.  Mix until evenly distributed. 7.  Allow to sit in refrigerator overnight. 8.  Serve cold and enjoy!

 Traditional New England crab cakes #Seafood #CrabCakes Makes 8 large or 12 small (appetizer size) crab cakes. Ingredients: - 1/2 onion, diced - 1 Tbsp butter - 1 egg - 1/4 cup mayonnaise  - 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard - 2 shakes Worcestershire sauce - 3 shakes Tabasco or other hot sauce, or more to taste - 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning - 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper - 1-1/4 cups panko (or breadcrumbs) - 1 lb fresh lump crab meat, picked over to remove any bits of shell - Olive oil for frying Tartar sauce, aioli mayonnaise, or cocktail sauce, for serving Directions: In a small frying pan, sauté onion in butter until translucent. Remove from pan to a large bowl, and let the onions cool for a few minutes. Stir in the egg, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire, Tabasco, Old Bay, black pepper and panko. Fold in the crab meat.
